Cool! We're Switzerland!

We continued having a look below Tilverton and found the vampire's lair. He had a fleshy-looking coffin with feet, but instead of being a quaint piece of self-ambulating storage à la Discworld, it was all pulsating and evil and wrong. It was destroyed.

We also found a guy who had been cut open and the innards had been placed on display, so to speak, but still connected to him, and he was still alive. If you can call it that. We collected him and all his bits and put them in a box to let our wizard friend read through all the research books the vampire had left and maybe he could put the guy back together. (He could. Deeply traumatised man, however, was no longer at home.)

Things like that. We also progressed the re-building of Tilverton and our own followings.

“I hate this thing!”
“The iPhone or your life?”

GM: “He doesn’t have a weapon yet. He’s a newbie, an NPC.”

“Don’t do that experiment again!”
“Unless you’re a Chaos Marine. Then it’s encouraged!”

(a living coffin with legs)
Player: “Is it like the Luggage in Discworld?”
GM: “In a much more Cthulhian sense, yes. But evil.”

“The box is hermetically sealed.”
“But he’s alive! He’ll suffocate!”
“Okay, I’ll make air holes. Geez!”

GM: “It’s a shrine to the god Bane.”
Player: “Does he have a hate-boner for Batman?”

GM: “You see a pair of glowing eyes: ‘You’re—’”
Player (as Bane): “Tilverton’s reckoning.”

“Cool! We’re Switzerland!”

“He’s not a druid, but he will be by the end of this.”

“Welcome to the yearly audit of the criminal underworld and police of Tilverton!”

Denny: “If he’s too traumatised …”
Elani: “I’ll set him free as a bird.”
(pause)
Denny: “You mean that literally.”
Elani: “Yes.”

Elminster: “The human scourge. Sorry, but that’s still how some of the elves in the area feel.”
Elani (emphatically): “Yes.”
Player: “Present company included.”

GM: “She just wants to bash some heads in and make things right.”
Player: “I LIKE her.”

“I can’t not trust Varion, because he’s the character I was going to make.”

“I don’t hate him, he’s just a prick.”
